The CBI court of Cochin today criticized CPM Kerala state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan who is the seventh accused for not appearing in the court in connection with the Lavalin case. The court said that valid reasons should be given for not appearing in the court and that it’s not right to avoid court procedures by stating the reason of illness and then to appear in public appointments. But Pinarayi’s advocate informed the court that the accused will present him in the court any time the court decides. The court also ordered to sent another non-bailable warrant against the sixth accused Claus Trendell, Vice President of Canadian MNC SNC Lavalin.for not appearing in the court in connection with the Lavalin case and to issue summons to the Lavalin Company, ninth accused in the case.

US lawmakers file suit against Obama for continuing actions in Libya
A group of 10 US congressmen yesterday filed a lawsuit against the President Barack Obama for circumventing the authority of the Congress by increasing military strikes against Libya. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Walter Jones (R-NC) representatives of the group told the press about the filing of the suit in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
