high court of KeralaOn 15th of June 2011, the Kerala High Court came down heavily on Justice P. A. Mohammed committee which is the fee regulating committee in self-financing professional colleges in the State.

A heavy criticism of the Committee was made by the Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice J Chelemeswar and Justice Antony Domanic, while considering a writ petition that was filed by the Mohammed Committee, in which it challenged the single bench decision to stay the fee structure of self-financing professional Medical Colleges.

The bench was surprised as the Mohammed Committee had chosen to challenge the decision of the Single Bench and stated that in no way the committee would be affected by the issue but instead it was the management, student and the state who were going to be affected by the same.

It also added that the committee should not have challenged each and every proceedings against the orders even if the decision was wrong and it showed that the committee was more loyal than king.

The case will be considered by the court on next Monday, 20th of June 2011.
