The Supreme Court will hear today a public interest litigation seeking a directive to the Centre and the Delhi Police to issue a White paper on the alleged police action in the ‘Baba Ramdev eviction incident’ on the night of June4/5 and also the sequence of events.
The police was directed by the local court to register an FIR against the IPS officer Jawahar Singh, who was suspended for allegedly outraging the modesty of a women police officer in 2002. The direction was made to the Maharashtra Director General of police in response to a report of the National Human Rights Commission.

The Special Court hearing the 2G Spectrum case on Friday turned down the bail plea of the former Telecom Secretary, Siddhartha Behura. His counsel submitted that Mr.Behura had no role in deciding the modified first-come first-served policy, cut off dates and dual technology terms and also claimed that Mr.Behura had joined the Telecom services on January 1st, 2008, after the decisions were taken.
