On Thursday, a Delhi Court rejected the plea whereby it directed the CBI to not to include the Reliance ADAG Chairman Anil Ambani, Tata group chief Ratan Tata, corporate lobbyist Niran Radia and DMK Chief Karunanidhi’s wife Mrs.Dayalu Ammal as accused in the 2G scam case.
Also the CBI judge OP Saina imposed a cost of Rs.10,000 each on a Delhi based journalist named M. Furqan and Ghaziabad’s scrap dealer Dharmender Pandey for filing complaints in this regard.
The judge dismissed the petition stating that the application had no substance as well it was contrary to law and therefore the two journalists were bound to pay a cost of Rs.10,000 each as they had wasted the precious time of the court making the court look into this matter. And held the cost which they were made to pay is a lenient view of the court.
The court also directed them to pay this cost within 3 days or else warrants will be issued against them for the same. Both these journalists also alleged private complaints against the CBI claiming they were not looking into the matter properly and were protecting the accused.
