A British member of parliament has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in Central London on Thursday.

British media named the man as Andrew Bridgen, Conservative MP for Leicestershire North West.  He was arrested on suspicion of sexually assault against a 29 year old woman at an address in SW1 in the early hours of today. He has been bailed to return on a future-date on mid July.

The ruling Conservative Party declined to comment on this matter, stating it as a matter of police.
