The Apple-Samsung Combat Continues

samsung tab and ipadThe biggest legal battle of the technology industry continues with Apple and Samsung trying to obtain injunctions against each other for preventing the sales of the respective phones. The two technology juggernauts have been involved in the legal battle to protect their respective legal rights in 10 countries and the two companies have filed as many as 30 law suits against each other.

Apple Inc. has filed a notice stating that it will appeal against the refusal of the US judge to prevent the sale of the 4G smartphone and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10. 1 tablet computer of Samsung Electronics Co. Apple’s lawyer Michael Jacobs has filed for a review before the Federal Circuit in Washington against the ruling of a judge in San Jose, California.

At this very same time, Samsung failed to obtain a court order in France against the Cupertino, California-based maker of the iPhone and iPad to block the sale of its latest smartphone, the iPhone 4S. The court rejected the plea of Samsung for an emergency order against Apple Inc. while considering the patent infringement claims by the South Korean Company.

Samsung has been involved in a legal battle in France, Italy and UK to stop the sale of the newest iPhone after the new handset was introduced to the market in October.

The legal battle between the two companies is expected to continue for a long time. Antitrust probe has also been initiated against the companies by European Union regulators concerning the use of smartphones by the companies.
