Bhanwari Case-Maderna’s police custody ends today

Jodhpur: In Bhanwari Devi Case, the former Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna’s and Paras Ram Bisnhnoi’s, brother of a Congress legislator’s  police custody ends today and thus they will produced in the Court. They are both accused in the missing case of a nurse named Bhanwari Devi. She has been missing since September 1, 2011.

Mahipal Maderna was arrested and produced before the CBI court which had sent him to CBI custody in Delhi till December 9. The CBI brought Mahipal Maderna back to Jodhpur to be produced before the court here. The CBI has said that that former minister is the one who had planned the abduction of the nurse when a local television channel came out with the news of the existence of a CD featuring the minister and the nurse in compromising positions. Mahipal Maderna had offered to buy a car that belonged to Bhanwari Devi. And when she came to collect the money was when she was abducted and has been missing ever since.

Earlier on Thursday the CBI also arrested Bhanwari Devi’s husband suspecting him to be involved in the alleged abduction of his wife. He did not co-operate with the CBI investigators and also could not produce an explanation as to his activities on day she was abducted.
