An ex-law firm office manager sentenced for theft

An ex-office manager found guilty of theft from New Jersey has been sentenced to seven years confinement in prison for stealing more than $400,000 from her employers.

In the session of 2003 to 2010, Beth Friedland committed theft due to serious financial crisis and forced him to downsizing and redundancy to his job. The Roxbury Township resident asserted guilty in March to theft by unlawful taking, acknowledge and accepting that she dishonestly taken away  $448,721 from the Chatham-based firm of Maloof, Lebowitz, Connahan & Oleske.

However the firm, claims Friedland took $1.1 million overall and has sued her to acquire those funds.

Friedland’s husband,Alex Cruz, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy, was found convicted and had a punishment of three years probation and Friedland must specifically to attend about seventeenth months of the sentence imposed Friday before becoming released from prison for certain period.
