Ajmal Kasab should be hanged says Rehman Malik

Ajmal_KasabAjmal Kasab is a terrorist. He is a non-state actor. He should go to the gallows, Malik told Indian journalists in Maldives where India and Pakistan have sent delegations headed by their Prime Ministers to the SAARC Summit.

He said that there could be no sympathy for the 26/11 Lashkar gunman who is accused of killing over 166 people in the attacks. Ajmal Kasab was the only terrorist caught alive during the 26/11 attacks in which 10 young men from Pakistan sailed into Mumbai and unleashed an unprecedented terror attack

Pakistan’s Interior Minister said that he was hopeful the judicial commission set up in Pakistan to gather information on 26/11, including case evidence from Indian prosecutors, is able to travel to India soon after clearance from New Delhi. He said that the judicial commission would be visit India for 3-4 days and the evidence gathered would be needed in Pakistani courts.

Rehman Malik said Pakistan is taking effective action against people like ZakiurRehmanLakhvi, a senior commander of the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) who it holds responsible for helping to plan and execute the 26/11 attacks.  Mr Lakhvi and six others allegedly involved with 26/11 are in a jail in Rawalpindi.
