Military to hand over power to the civilian President in Egypt

Egypt flagThe Supreme Council of Armed Forces, in Egypt has announced that the powers will be handed over to the civilian president by the next year. The Army Chief Field Marshal Tantawi said parliamentary elections would begin as per the schedule the president will be elected by the June next year. It was announced after protest demanding that the military rulers should hand over the reigns to a civilian government immediately.

All Islamist parties are single-mindedly pursuing their political goals as they predict a healthy showing in the coming elections.

According to Egyptian version of an autocrat legacy was on display, as a military accustomed to decades of privilege, refused to surrender real power currently but agreed to hand over the powers by June next year. People are in a fear that that if the powers are not transferred soon Egypt will be facing a crisis more severe than the rule of Hosni Mubarak.
