Probe ordered against Parkash Singh Badal

Parkash_Singh_BadalThe Lokpal of Punjab ordered an inquiry into a land scam in an alleged land grab complaint filed against Parkash Singh Badal. The complaint was filed by an NGO which alleged of acquiring around 282 acres of village common land.

The NGO alleged that Badal ignored the state government’s notification of 2007 that village common land cannot be sold to anyone or it cannot be transferred in anyone’s name. The evidence and the statements were recorded by the Lokpal which was given by the NGO to support its contention.

The Punjab Lokpal on Thursday ordered an inquiry against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in connection with ‘illegal’ plying of private air-conditioned buses from Punjab to Chandigarh.

After this the leader of opposition Capt. Amrendra Singh has came up strongly and commented on the issue of probe being issued.
