On Thursday team Anna Hazare demanded to include Citizen’s Charter in the Lokpal Bill as it will help the common people to get their work done easily.

On Thursday team Anna Hazare demanded that the Citizen’s Charter specifying the time limit on the government departments so that they can provide services properly and with the help of this charter people can get their work done in a time- bound manner.

Team Anna Hazare member Arvind Kejriwal said that this Charter is very necessary for the lokpal bill and it will help the common people to get their work done on time as government employees always cause delay in the works so that they can extract bribes from the people, he said that this charter will help to check these types of people and in the result it with help to control corruption also.

The draft bill does not provide for a Citizen’s Charter and, instead, the Government has prepared a draft Public Grievances Bill but yesterday Parliament has urged the Standing Committee to consider about this demand.
