WAR NO SOLUTION TO INDIA – PAK PROBLEM

India-pak-war“We do not want to resolve any problems through war. The solution of all problems is dialogue and we believe in dialogue” was stated by the Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani addressing a public meeting at Shakargarh in Punjab province ahead of INDO-PAK foreign secretary-level talks.

Mr. Gilani met Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India and convinced him to resume the dialogue with Pakistan including talks about Kashmir. Pakistan wants to maintain good relations with its neighbours and resolve all outstanding issues.

Nirupama Rao, Foreign Secretary will visit Islamabad on June 23-24 to hold talks with her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir.

Mr. Gilani expressed hope that the world community will help get Kashmiri’s their rights. He claimed that upcoming elections in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were boycotted but all parties participated in the Pok.

He further added that the Pok legislative assembly elections will be fair, free and transparent to make them credible for the international community.
