US promises to fix inaccurate India map

fixComplaints were on the rise as the US State Government had depicted a map of India with inaccurate details. In the said map, parts of Jammu and Kashmir was depicted as part of Pakistan. State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland told reporters Monday that they have already removed the said map from the website owing to the inaccuracies found in it. She also said that the mistakes and inaccuracies depicted were purely unintentional. It will be rectified and the correct map will be posted up on the website very soon. She also said that the inaccuracy occurred due to a wrong drawing.

An Indian spokesperson said that the depiction of India’s borders were inaccurate and also said that India had Monday reaffirmed that the whole of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. The border conflict between India and Pakistan has been cropping up every now and then. Authorities have asked official websites and public media to exercise high caution while publishing such content into the mass media network.
