Progress and development of talks between Israel and Palestine

US said that in 2 separate talks with envoys of Israel and Palestine has been constructive to some extent but making progress has yet not been possible.
US officials said that the main aim of this talk was to bring the both parties against each other on the table of negotiations.
They talked about different development proposals but the talk couldn’t lead to any breakthrough .issues of territory and security were discussed. Israel has been under pressure from the countries of European union and Russia to deal the issue of two state solution. Since Palestine applied for UN membership which is being opposed by Israel.
In late Oct., the Palestinian National Authority was admitted to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a full member, prompting the U.S. and Israel to move respectively to halt financial contributions to the organization and speed up housing construction in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
After the latest meetings, the Palestinians reiterated their demand for a halt to Jewish settlement building in East Jerusalem and the West Bank before direct talks can resume.
It is being estimated that both the parties are going to present comprehensive proposals against each other which will ultimately lead to various agreement and development ties between the both parties.
