On Thursday Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accepted the resignation of Solicitor General Gopal Subramaniam who resigned his office in protest of the decision taken by the Telecom Minister Kapil Sibbal to ask senior lawyer Rohinton Nariman to fight his case in the Supreme Court instead of him in the 2G scam case.
