In recent years nuclear energy or generation of electricity through nuclear power plant has been appreciated over thermal power plants. And due to rising demands of electricity in the country the National Power Commission of India has decided to set up a nuclear power plant for domestic use in Koodankulam, Chennai. But this project is facing serious agitation.
