New Law on Apartments

With the rapidly increase of pollution and demand for the apartments in Jaipur, the state government is planning to formulate a new policy Apartment Act to safeguard the interest of buyers and developers. The state doesn’t have any policy to safeguard the interest of purchaser and developers and with the drawback of this around 20000 new apartments are under construction in the State Capital itself. P.K. Deb, additional chief secretary, urban developing and housing said that this law will safeguard the interest of the purchaser and develop a system to address their grievances.  In 2009 the state government had drafted a policy and sent it to the center for the approval and after approval from the cabinet it was referred to the center. But the Union government had made some observations and sent it back to the State government for the amendments.
