Right to education campaign to be launched today

education_rightThe birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, an eminent educationist and a great leader of India’s freedom struggle, on 11th November of every year as National Education Day without declaring any holiday on that day. As part of this, the UPA government is flagging off the Right to Education, Shiksha Ka Abhiyaan, today. The Human Resource Development Ministry has planned year-long community awareness and mobilization programme Shiksha ka Haq Abhiyan aimed to increase the awareness about the Right to Education Act. The campaign will start from the message from Prime Minister and Human Resource Development Ministry.

On this occasion, all schools are requested to present before the children the importance of education. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will appeal to the children of the nation to study hard and bring India to the highest position as far as education is concerned. The appeal will be read out in 13 lakh schools across the country on Children’s Day. The Right to Education campaign is the next agenda in flagship programme of the UPA Government. This year campaign will also focus on the target group, the minority and the caste reservations etc.
