Yoga guru Baba Ramdev broke his fast on Sunday, by accepting fruit juice from his supporters and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust Hospital in Dehra Dun.

Ramdev was admitted to the hospital suffering certain complications at the  fasting venue in Haridwar.

The doctors briefed to the reporters the condition of the yoga guru has become stable now.  Ramdev’s aide Balkrishna, who also broke his fast read out a statement by Ramdev that said the crusade against the black money and corruption would continue as long as the yoga guru lived. Also added that the fast was not against any individual or party but to create awareness among the people of the corrupt system and black money stashed away in foreign countries and has been successful.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Uttarkhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank expressed their happiness in the decision of yoga guru of ending up his fast. Meanwhile, Swami Adhokshjanand Shankaracharya of Govardhanpeeth sought a probe into the “illegal” assets of Baba Ramdev.
