Ex-President of Philippines Mrs. Gloria Arroyo was arrested in her hospital on account of electoral fraud committed by her during the elections.  According to her the govt. denied her moving out of the country for getting treatment. She is suffering bone ailment and cure for that is not available in the country.  Gloria Arroyo applied to the Supreme Court for the permission of moving out of the country on ground of getting treatment, Supreme Court decided in her favor stating that she will not be stopped from moving out of the country.

When Gloria Arroyo along with her husband was moving she was stopped at the airport as the Government fears that Gloria Arroyo might not return to the country to escape trials or face prosecution.

The govt. has told to get the treatment within the country, and meanwhile Gloria Arroyo will not be arrested, she will be in hospital.  Mrs. Arroyo had herself supported the trial and prosecution of her predecessor, Joseph Estrada, on corruption charges. He was sentenced to life in prison, but she later pardoned him.
