CAN WE PUT OUR DAMN PHONES DOWN

cell phone probsTechnology can be constructive as well as destructive. Society can’t escape from the emergence of children who are using mobile phones long before they get their driving license, and can regularly send upwards of 30000 messages a month.

But what can their parents do to help, when they themselves are glued to their iphones or blackberry. Bob Schukai has said “Every once in a while put your damn phone down and interact with human beings”. Teenagers learn this from their parents and become addicted to this so much as in leaving their phones or facebook means being isolated from the society in whole. These lead to depression.

Its important for parents to give themselves time with their children with both parties putting aside their blackberry or iphones – and making it clear why.

Teenagers demand privacy in their technological-social world and are anxious about it  being intervened.

The better news according to Tuckle, is that society’s use of phones and tablets is still work in progress: “Relax, its young, its in its baby’s days.
