Herman Cain changes his statement on allegations

Herman CainHerman Cain, the Republican candidate standing for the presidential elections on2012,today twisted the whole side of the story of the allegations of sexual harassment upon him by two of the female employees of the National Restaurant Association, for whom he was president from 1996 to the mid 1999.  Cain was accused of sexual misconduct on part of him by this two employees who refuses to disclose their names as a matter of privacy though the National Restaurant Association have confirmed their identities.

On Monday, Cain was quoted saying to the PBS News Hour that he recalled a financial agreement with a woman who accused him of Sexual harassment during his days as a CEO at the National Restaurant Association.

Though, before, Cain said he was unaware of any settlement related to sexual harassment.  He was quoted saying, I was aware that an agreement was reached. The word settlement versus the word agreement you know, I’m not sure what they called it. I know that there was some sort of agreement, but because it ended up being minimal, they didn’t have to bring it to me. My general counsel and the head of human resources had the authority to resolve this thing. It was reported that two female employees complained of sexually suggestive behavior on the part of Mr Cain when he led the National Restaurant Association. Also, the National Restaurant Association allegedly paid the women to leave their jobs and not to officially complain about it.  On a telephonic interview on Geraldo Rivera’s Fox show Sunday night, Gordon repeatedly dodged yes-or-no questions about whether the NRA had made cash settlements to the two women who accused Cain of sexual harassment. Though, the National Restaurant Association chose not to comment on personnel matters.

Allegations of sexual harassment are taunting Cain since long time though he has strongly denied all of them and he was quoted saying I have never sexually harassed anyone. A thorough investigation concluded these claims had no basis. And yes, I was falsely accused while I was at the National Restaurant Association, and I say falsely because it turned out after the investigation to be baseless. Though he said that he had no idea whether the trade association provided financial settlements to the women. If there was a settlement, it was handled by some of the other officers at the restaurant association, he said. His campaigns also vehemently denied the all these reports. Let me tell you that Herman Cain has never sexually harassed anybody, period. Cain’s chief of staff, Mark Block, told MSNBC on Monday morning Let me tell you that Herman Cain has never sexually harassed anybody, period. End of story. Mr Block also added that the National Restaurant Association thought of Mr Cain as a man of total integrity.

Cain, though, with an interview with PBS, actually left some chances of him ever acting in an inappropriate way and was found asserting that interpretation of his behavior may be was taken in a wrong sense by those female employers and defended this by saying that The only one that I could recall after a day of trying to remember specifics, was once I referenced this lady’s height and I was standing near her, and I did this saying, you’re the same height of my wife, because my wife is five feet tall and she comes up to my chin, Cain told PBS, according to a as released by the network. This lady’s five feet tall and she came up to my chin. So obviously she thought that that was too close for comfort.
