Greece to have coalition Government soon

Soon, Greece will have a new coalition government comprising out of an agreement the ruling Pasok party and the opposition New Democracy party. However, the coalition government will have George Papendrou as its leader as he refused to step down as the prime minister. Despite winning a confidence vote on Saturday   morning, he has struggled to form a temporary coalition government to back the controversial EU bailout package. The opposition party seems to be clearly unhappy with this as leader Antonis Samaras stated that it’s better for the current prime minister to resign in order to ‘save the economy’. The two sides have mutually agreed to take the country through an election process after the bailout deal implements and are supposed to meet today to work out the details of the new coalition government. However, as declared by the finance ministry, February 19 is the most suitable date for the election.

The prime minister are also ongoing talks with president Karolos Papoulias about constructing  an administration which will negotiate the deal to write down Greek debt and release billions in emergency aid to help out its economy. The eurozone’s power brokers are giving the n country tremendous pressure to implement the bailout package which was agreed on Brussels in order to help its hugely indebted economy.

The Greek parliament can’t afford to stall out the bailout package anymore as it is constantly obstructing the release of money Greece needs to pay to service holders, and international creditors etc. Notis Mitatarakis, Greece’s shadow finance minister reportedly told Sky News that he believes that the leader of the coalition government need not necessarily have to be a politician but someone who have been mutually accepted.

There is ongoing of lots of tension that whether worst bankruptcy which the country facing in its last forty years and whether it would finally embrace the bailout deal. Mr. Papandreou has already abandoned a proposal to hold a referendum on the package, which would result in years of financial austerity for Greece. The World leaders on Friday had a blank effort to resolve the wider eurozone crisis, as the  G20 summit ended with no agreement being reached upon on crucial measures to help the ailing economies.
