A committee headed by very prominent world leaders have submitted a report saying that the global war on drugs have been a failure. The report also further said that instead of incriminating the drug users they must be given proper rehabilitation and care. It also controversially recommended the legalization of some drugs. The report said the global war on drugs was nothing but a failure and has been costing millions of taxpayers money and thousands of death. The report mainly criticized US’ policy on drugs and asked it to think with an alternative but empirical  approach to the issue. It also urged The US to follow rules which are compatible with health care and human rights.
