CYBER FRAUDSTER CAUGHT IN THE TRAP OF BANGALORE CYBER COPS

The cyber cops in Bangalore have arrested a hacker who is alleged to have defrauded into internet banking accounts of various customers. The hackers normally exploit the holes in the security of the banks or financial institutions. The hacker is reported to have used the key – logging software which is very dangerous.

The key logging software records all the keystrokes made using the keyboard. A log of these strokes are recorded and sent to the hacker at frequent intervals. The fraudsters have been able to track the pins, passwords of various customers in the first week of the month since most users access the online banking services to transfer the funds.

The hackers came into light when one of the victims had complained to the cyber cops alleging to have lost Rs.1.2 Lac. The cops on investigation found traces of mobile phone currency recharge.  The fraudster and his accomplice have made some transactions in regard to recharge in which the IP address was knocked by the police. The cops tracked the cyber café from the IP address in the traces and finally arresting the racket.
