Hillary Clinton visit – US says committed to NSG waiver

Hillary ClintonAs the secretary general of US Hillary Clinton visits India next week US envoy are ready to grant Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) waiver to India which was committed in 2008 to enable full civilian nuclear corporation that included the transfer of sensitive technologies.

US diplomat A. Peter Burleigh said “We are not fully committed towards our previous agreement, including the 123(bilateral civil nuclear accord) and nuclear waiver (granted by NSG).

He added that Like other countries, we would like American companies to have their nuclear contracts with India.

The US diplomat stressed that as – earlier the US has removed most of the Indians entities from the export list he assured that the barriers will be down now and their will be a healthy business deals all around with high technology.

The US secretary of state will reach India on 18 July on a three day visit as stated by External AFFAIRS Minister S.M. Krishna.

During the visit the expected topic stated will be on better guidelines on NSG. The guidelines will assure India that it will not affect the last signed deals as India-US nuclear civil nuclear deal signed by both the countries in 2008.

Hillary Clinton will also assure India as becoming a member of the top multilateral nuclear export regimes.
