6 bodies found in French Alps

AlpsThe authorities reported that, bodies of six climbers were found on Sunday, 26th of June 2011, in the French Alps. The local police said that after a climber dotted the bodies, they were brought by helicopter to the nearby village of Villar d’Arene.

Xavier Cret, village mayor, said that as per the authorities the mountaineers were dead on Saturday, 25th of June 2011. It was stated by the French police that, all hypotheses are possible about how the mountain climbers died. And the State Radio also reported that, they could have been victims of a broken snow bridge, a fall or an avalanche.

It was at about 8,858 feet (2,700 meters) in a very steep pass at la Plate des Agneaux, the bodies were found.
